Larry Dean Hembree, age 58, of Rutherfordton, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017.
Born May 6, 1958 in Rutherford County, he was a son to the late Pete Hembree and Louise Ford Hembree. Larry worked for Mastercraft-Spindale Plant for several years and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles, fishing and he especially loved his grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Jessica Hembree and fiancé, Christopher Surratt of Rutherfordton and Katey Hembree and fiancé, Jason Curtis of Ellenboro; a close friend, Kathy Carpenter of Rutherfordton; two grandchildren, Alex Chambers and Madalynn Curtis; five siblings, Diane Burleson of Morganton, Steve Hembree and wife, Wanda of Morganton, Linda Calloway and husband, Roger of Morganton, Raymond and wife, Pat of Ellenboro and Deborah Tessler and husband, Reid of Hendersonville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Brian Melton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
