Larry Frank Greer, age 65, of Shelby, died Sunday October 14, 2012 at his home. A native of Caldwell County, he was the son of the late Thomas and Evelyn Broyhill Greer. Mr. Greer was a member of Shelby Presbyterian Church. A graduate of Western Carolina University, he served as Manager for Hudson’s Department Store and later retired from Radio Shack.

Surviving are his wife, Judith “Judy” Ann Steadman Greer; son, Robert Thomas Greer and wife Emily of Shelby, daughter, Jennifer Ann Greer Ormand and husband Caja of Shelby; sister, Frances Greer Malcolm of Lenoir, NC; grandchildren, Madison Ormand, Tristan Ormand, Anna Greer and Eva Greer.

Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday October 18, 2012 at Shelby Presbyterian Church with Dr. Luke Harkey officiating. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following service. Burial will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday in the Little Rock Baptist Church Cemetery in Boomer, NC
