Larry Harmon Bess, 75, of Grover, NC, passed away on March 8, 2024 at his home.

He was born in Cleveland County, NC, son of the late Paul and Ruth Bess and was preceded in death by his siblings, Ken and Kay Bess, and a granddaughter, Amanda Christine Putnam. Larry was born and raised in Grover, where he resided with his wife, Gail. In addition to farming, Larry worked for many years in carpentry and floor covering, providing quality work to many with his company, Bess Floor Services. In his spare time, Larry was an avid hunter. He loved the outdoors and cultivating his garden. Larry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and he will be greatly missed by those who hold his cherished memory close.

Sister: Pauline Cabiness

Grandchildren: Brandi Baliles (Chris) and Sara Putnam

Great-grandchildren: Catlin Jordan, Lorelai Jordan, Brailynne Baliles, and Warren Baliles

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Tuesday, March 12 at 11:00 A.M. in the Allen Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Reese English officiating.

VISITATION: Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at Harris Funeral Home.

INTERMENT: Allen Memorial Baptist Church, Grover, NC
