Larry Joe Tessnair, age 59, of Crouse, NC, went home to be with his heavenly Father Friday, May 19, 2023 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.
Larry was born December 27, 1963 in Rutherford County to the late James Adam Tessnair and Nancy Byers Tessnair Blanton. Larry worked in textiles and in the carpentry business. He enjoyed working on cars, spending time at church and with his family. He was an avid fisherman. Larry was an active member of New Vision Ministries in Lincolnton, where he served as an usher.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Wendy Tessnair.
Survivors include his wife, Kim Bradshaw Tessnair and stepsons, Stevie Bradshaw and J.C. Gillespie of the home; son, Joshua Tessnair and granddaughter, Autumn Tessnair both of Rutherfordton; brothers, Opie Lancaster (Etta) of Rutherfordton, Brad Blanton of Mooresboro, Sammie Lancaster of Spindale and sister, Debra Passmore of Franklin, NC. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 23rd at Harrelson Funeral Home. A second service will be conducted on Wednesday, May 24th with a visitation starting at 6:30 pm at New Vision Ministries, 661 Clark Creek Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092 and a service beginning at 7:00 pm at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to the Lincoln County Crisis Pregnancy Center or to New Vision Ministries Inmate Prison Meals.
