Larry Randall Stroud, 85, of Shelby, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023 at Atrium Health - Pineville.

Born in Cleveland County, on February 19, 1938, he was a son of the late Emmett Cole Stroud and Grace Price Stroud. He was retired from Hertz Celanese and was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a grandson, Kyle Stroud and a brother, Lanny Stroud.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Janet Stroud; two son Kevin Stroud and wife Tammy of Fallston and Neil Stroud and Myra of Grover; two sisters, Malinda Washburn and Sandra Stroud both of Shelby; four grandchildren, Katie Chapman and husband Jimmy, Kristopher Stroud and wife Ashley, and Kelly Nunns; husband Kevin and Jessica Stroud; and five great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston.

The graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 3:00 PM at Big Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Hollis.
