Lauretta Mungen White, 64, of 302 Miles Road Shelby, NC passed away on Friday, May 1, 2020 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby.

She was born in Passaic County, NJ on August 22 ,1955 to the late James Allen and Caroline Moore Allen.

Lauretta relocated to Shelby, NC in 1997. Always a hard working person, she held various employment positions throughout her lifetime and was currently employed with Wal-Mart in Shelby. Working was almost a hobby for her because she enjoyed it so much. She also enjoyed making people laugh. Her other pastimes included writing, jigsaw puzzles and collecting things which included various types of figures and coins from around the world.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Regina Bradley and two aunts and two uncles.

Left to cherish precious memories are her husband, William White; two daughters, Jonetta Mungen of Shelby and Dolores White of NJ; one bonus son, William White, Jr. of Shelby; one brother, James Allen (Domina) of NJ; one sister, Archline Desamours of NJ; four grandchildren, Diamond Mungen, Dominique Black, Elyjah Strachan and Kyle Reynolds; one aunt, Rebecca Moore of NJ; a god-son, Zion Daley and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Due to recent coronavirus state guidelines limiting the size of gatherings, the service for Mrs. White will be private. She may be viewed on Wednesday, May 13 , 2020 at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. The family is receiving friends at 1016 Buffalo Street Shelby, NC. Condolences can be expressed online at www.enloemortuary.com.
