Lela Blanche Hicks, 92, of Curt Ledford Road, Lawndale, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Peak Resources, Shelby.

Born in Cleveland County, on December 29, 1929 , she was a daughter of the late William Charlie Hicks and Mary Emily Swink Hicks. She was retired from Case Farms Morganton Division and a member of Carpenters Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Ed Hicks and two sisters, Pauline and Corene Hicks.

She is survived by her brother, Bill Hicks of Lawndale and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston. At other times the family will be at the home of Bill Hicks, 1000 N Hwy 18, Lawndale, NC.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel.

The burial will follow the service in the Carpenter's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
