Leon Bailey, age 66, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017 at his residence.
Born October 2, 1951 in Spartanburg County, SC, he was the son of the late Eber Alexander Bailey and Ellarie Mills Bailey. He worked for Wal-Mart for many years and enjoyed working on his car and walking.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and Steve Bailey.
Those left to cherish his memory include two brothers, Thomas Bailey and wife, Jan of Chesapeake, Virginia and Rocky Bailey of Forest City; two nieces, Kimberly Johnson (Todd) of Hickory and Stephanie Bailey (Josh) of Forest City; one nephew, Steve Bailey, Jr. (Beth) of Rutherfordton. He is also survived by three great-nieces and two great-nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2017 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
