Leonard Windford Everett, 91, died Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center.

A native of Borrow County, GA, he was the son of the late Paul Everett Sr. and Maggie Elizabeth Brown Everett.

Leonard served in the Army and was a member of Lattimore Baptist Church.

He retired from Doran Mills after 40 years of service. He enjoyed time with the family, studying the Bible, attending church, gardening, fishing and storytelling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Everett Jr. and Dennis Everett.

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Carolyn Everett of the home; sons, Wayne Everett and wife Kathy, Mike Everett and wife Judy and Todd Everett, all of Shelby; sisters, Louise Lookadoo of Shelby, Mary Ann Curtis of CA, Kathy Everett-Rhyne and husband George of PA; and granddaughter of the home, Katie Everett.

Funeral services will be held 2pm, Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Lattimore Baptist Church, with the Rev. Buddy Morehead officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, in the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
