 Calf Roping
Once again this year, the rodeo will feature some of the biggest names in the IPRA. Hometown favorite, Tony Sewell will be calling the shots from the announcer stand as Rafter 3 Rodeo Company provides the finest stock and handlers in the game. Rodeo clown and performer Jerry Wayne Olsen will be entertaining the crowd.
The purpose is to raise funds for mission ventures at home and abroad by being obedient to Jesus’ command to spread the gospel to all nations. Polkville Baptist makes it their goal for everything they do to be about JESUS. They offer a wholesome, family rodeo; moreover, the earnings support mission projects in Polkville, NC, in addition to other parts of the world. Their efforts also support local mission’s organizations, missionaries, and sends church members on evangelism and disaster relief projects.
The gates will open at 6:00 pm with festivities which include a mechanical bull, rock climb, inflatable games, and an assortment of vendors with food and apparel. Polkville Baptist members will be grilling their signature food that includes BBQ, Ribs, Chicken on a stick, fresh cut fries, bloomin’ onions, plus much more. Mintz Arena comes alive from the roar of the crowd on Friday and Saturday night. “You’ve not been to RODEO, ‘til you’ve been to POLKVILLE.”
There will also be a FREE Pancake Breakfast, Sunday, June 16 in Mintz Arena at 9:00 am and a special worship service will be held at 10:00 am.
Tickets are on sale in participating stores for ONLY $10.00 for adults (ages 12 and older) and gate admission is $12.00. Children are FREE (ages 11 and under).
