Lettie Mildred Wright Brackett, 76, of Casar passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Wendover Hospice House.

Mildred was born on December 1, 1948 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Bryson McKinley Wright and Ruby Mae Hoyle Wright. She was retired from Shadowline and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Andrew Brackett; daughter-in-law, Angela Poole; four brothers, Ray Wright, Alan Wright, Bryson Wright, Jr. and Kenneth Wright and a sister, Catherine Towery.

Mildred is survived by her daughter, Sandra Mosteller and husband, Scotty of Casar; son, Johnny Poole of Casar; daughter, Vickie DuJardin and husband, Donald of Shelby; two stepsons, Glenn Brackett and wife, Teresa of Casar and Gary Brackett of Casar; nine grandchildren, Luke Brackett, Skylar Mosteller, Stormy Mosteller (Hannah), Summer Williams (Adam), Sarah McPeters (Garrett), Matthew Poole (Skyler), Emily Poole, Keith DuJardin and Aimee Edwards (Jeremy); five great-grandchildren and two great grandchildren on the way. She is also survived by three brothers, Harold Wright of Morganton, Steve Wright of Casar and Randy Wright of Casar and four sisters, Pauline Wright of Casar, Barbara Rhyne of Vale, Gail Buff of Boiling Springs and Lisa Hudson of Connelly Springs.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 15, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025 at 3:00 pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terrill Crump, Rev. Stormy Mosteller and Brother Skylar Mosteller officiating.

Burial will follow at Casar United Methodist Church Cemetery.
