Lewis Edwards

Lewis Edwards, 84, passed away and went to his heavenly home Friday, November 8, 2024 at Wendover Hospice.

A Cleveland County native, he was the son of the late JD and Ethel Edwards. Lewis retired from Celanese where he worked in the warehouse and was part of the fire brigade team. He was known for being a people person and was a loving family man. He enjoyed camping, long walks with his dog, gardening and cutting grass. He loved spending time with all of his family, reading, collecting walking sticks, and watching his westerns. He was proud to be a member of the Upper Cleveland County Volunteer Rescue Squad giving him the opportunity to help others. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Becky Edwards; and sister-in-law, Shirley Edwards. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 64 years, Pat Edwards; daughters, Anita Anderson and Amy Edwards; sister Carolyn White; brothers, Bud Edwards, David Edwards and wife Carolyn, and Steve Edwards and wife Sybil; grandchildren, Faith Bradley (Cody), Patty Skipper (Chad) and Aaron Buckner; and seven great-grandchildren.
