Mrs. Linda Jenkins Carver, 76 of Shelby, passed away January 6, 2022, at Atrium Healthcare-Cleveland. A native of Spartanburg SC, she is survived by three children; Wayne Melton and wife Lisa, Angela Greene and husband Joseph, Melanie Hicks and husband Randy, and a son-in-law Richard Lemmons all of Shelby; nine grandchildren, Robert Wilson, Carla Fortner, Dustin Lemmons and wife Wendy, William Melton and wife Karolina, Kayla Gibson and husband Ryan, Kasey Toney and husband Derek, Bradley Hicks, Krista Schultz and husband John, Cassidy Sims and husband Officer Tim Sims; three siblings, Merle Higgins of Forest City, James Jenkins and wife Sylvia of Spartanburg, Harry Jenkins and wife Hazel also of Spartanburg; 17 Great Grandchildren, and one Great-Great Grandchild.

She was born February 8, 1945, daughter of the late Walter Monroe Jenkins and Joan Vassey Jenkins. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Roger Dale Carver, one daughter, Anita Melton Lemmons and one grandchild, Jinalyn Brown. Mrs. Carver was of the Baptist faith.

A Funeral service will be held 2pm Friday January 14, 2022, in the chapel of Cleveland Funeral Service and Crematory with Rev. Christopher Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 1pm to 1:45pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Plainview Baptist Church in Ellenboro beside her husband.
