Linda K. Goode, age 74, of Ellenboro, NC, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Peak Resources in Shelby.
Linda was born March 3, 1944 in San Pedro, California and was the daughter of the late Guss Leonard Walker and Clella Esther McGuire Walker. She was a graduate of Phineas Banning High School in 1962 and Los Angeles Harbor College in 1964. Linda owned and operated L & W Accounting in Ellenboro for thirty years and was a faithful member of Walls Baptist Church. She served on the Financial Committee of the church and was known for her consistent Christian testimony. Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-five years, Leonard Wayne Goode and a sister, Violet Mae Walker.
Those left to cherish her memory include two loving daughters, Dawna Christine Goode Wilson of Mooresboro and Katherine E. Harris of Ellenboro; two sisters, Carol McGuire and husband, David Leon of Battle Ground, Washington and LaDonna Myers of West Sacramento, California and a sister-in-law, Dana Gantt of Oxford. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Cristina Green and husband Brandon, Whitney Byers, Brittany Harris, Anthony Edwards and wife Heather, Connor Harris, Trevor Wilson, and Tyler Wilson; eleven great-grandchildren, Cody, Seth, Sydney, Dallas, Jasmine, Phoenix, Jaylan, Aulbin, Dwight, Mason and Oliver.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Walls Baptist Church with Reverend David Philbeck and Reverend Roger Overton officiating. Interment will follow in Eternal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
