Linda Lail Hunt Canipe, 82, of Shelby, NC, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 6, 2024, surrounded by her devoted family.

She was born on May 23, 1942, in Cleveland County, NC, to the late Raymond and Vertie Wortman Lail. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Canipe, and her brother, Harold Lail.

Linda's life was a testament to love, kindness, and generosity. She is survived by her son, Tommy Hunt, and his wife, Karren, of Shelby, NC. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Anna Labuanan (Keliko) and Sarah Hunt, as well as her great-grandchildren, Kai, Koa, Keoni, and the Labuanan family.

A woman of boundles generosity, Linda was always eager to give, especially to those in need. She frequently donated school supplies and other essentials to help her community. She had a passion for baking, and her love for music shone brightly through her talent at the piano, where she played for various local churches. Above all, Linda's greatest joy was her grandchildren, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond.

Her legacy of kindness, faith, and family will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

To honor the wishes of Linda, the family will hold services privately. Burial will be held at Cleveland Memorial Park in Shelby, NC.
