Linda Louise Summey, 82, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Linda was born in Gaston County on October 16,1941. She was the daughter of the late Miles Monroe Gaddis and Margaret Garrison Gaddis.

Linda retired in 2002 from Kendall Drug/Bentley Western. She loved to travel. She looked forward to her annual trips to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, visiting The Biltmore House at Christmas, and her yearly trip to the Southern Christmas Show. She enjoyed painting and doing crafts. Linda had an infectious laugh and was always a joy to be around.

Linda is survived by her husband, Amos Summey of Shelby, and her son, Brian (Kim) Summey of Shelby. Also left to cherish her memory, her only grandchild, Myles Summey of Shelby, her sister, Pat Keistler of Charlotte, and many other loving relatives.

A celebration of life service will be held 2:00 Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home/Crematory. A visitation will immediately follow the service.
