Our beloved sister, Linda Smith, age 77, went to be with her Lord on May 10, 2016 following a brief illness. She was truly a special gift to those who knew her. A remarkable, beautiful and inspiring Christian woman with a kind and gentle spirit, she had a ready, brilliant smile for everyone she met, reflecting the purest of love in her heart. Her thoughtfulness and compassion blessed many in her church, family, and community. Besides her church and her sister's home in Mount Pleasant, SC, her favorite place to frequent was the YMCA in Boiling Springs. She enjoyed nothing so much as family gatherings, traveling to see new sights and reminiscing in the company of her many friends. Truly, being with loved ones was her sustenance and watching the Atlanta Braves and UNC-Chapel Hill basketball games were her favorite pastimes. For her remarkable grace she will long be remembered and the light she shared with us will shine forever in our hearts. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Troy Franklin Smith, Sr. and her mother, Beulah Wellmon Smith as well as her brothers, Michael Stanley Smith and Troy Franklin Smith, Jr.

She is survived by her sister, Alecia Smith Mueller of Mount Pleasant, SC; her beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins; her sister-in-law, Glenda Bell Smith and, Glenda's mother, Willowdene Bell of Kings Mountain;

On Friday May 13, 2016, the family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11:00 am in the sanctuary of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. The service will be at 11:00 am with Rev. Tim Trexler officiating. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
