Linda Sue Greene, 75, of Grover, North Carolina, peacefully departed this life into the arms of Jesus on Monday, October 6, 2025. A native of Shelby, Linda was born October 29, 1949, the youngest daughter of the late Otis Winslow Greene and Ruth Blanton Greene.

Linda spent many years as a homemaker, tirelessly working to care for her family. She was also a former co-owner of L & L Auto Parts Inc., and former Kings Mountain Police Officer. Linda loved the outdoors and her "cat" naps. She frequented McDonalds for her Happy Meals and Diet Coke. Her unique personality will be greatly missed by the ones who loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Morris Lail, brother, Dean Greene, sister, Joyce (Cooter) Ratley, infant son, Jeffrey Lail, and beloved doggie, Sparky.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Nikki Ledbetter (Robbie); son, Wesley Lail (Jessica), sister, Sylva Bridges (Jay); seven grandchildren, Logan, Taylor, and Charlize Ledbetter, and Jackson, Abe, Cruz, and Max Lail; two great-grandchildren, Elijah and Liam; brother-in-law, Giles Ratley; sisters-in-law, Alice Greene and Carolyn Lail; a special friend, Becky, and her beloved doggie, Holly. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Linda's life and cookout will take place on Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 4:00 pm until, at the home of her daughter.
