Lisa Keeter-Johnson

Lisa Keeter-Johnson went home to be with the Lord Monday, 10/11/2021 at the age of 53.

She is preceded in death by four children Alaina, Christopher, Destiny and Dylan, her grandparents Willie and Gladys Byers, Lee and Pearl Keeter, special aunts Betty Head, Sue Ervin and Edith Scott and uncle Harold Scott, and in-laws Rev. Glenn Sr. and Becky Johnson.

She is survived by her loving husband of 27 yrs. Glenn Johnson Jr., children Alicia and husband Chris, Ricky, Emily and husband Timothy, Christina and husband Alan with grandchild-on-the-way, Brandon and wife Courtney, special little-ones Aaron and Essie, her parents Clyde and Donna Keeter, sister Tammy and husband Terry, sister-in-law Rhonda and husband Andy, nieces Michelle, Hannah, Faith and Brittney and nephew Robbie and special friends Pastor Buster and Ann, Sarah, Dawn, Jerry, Mary, Barry, Dee Dee, Margie, Gary, Jean, Keith, Kenny, Karen, Jamie, Haley and Chasidy.

She was a faithful member of First Love Independent Baptist Church, a former member of Shelby Rescue Squad where she served as an EMT for 10 years and was a 2006 volunteer at Shelby Police Department. She was a graduate of Crest High School and Cleveland Community College where she studied Pre-Psychology, Criminal Justice and Early Childhood. She was a member of the Kappa Iota Deltas, Who's Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges and was on the President's and Dean's List. She won several Golden and Silver Poet awards and 2ndPlace in a National College Level Poetry Contest. She had a great love and passion for God, her family, church and church family, helping people and seeing souls saved.

The family will receive friends Friday, 10/15/2021 from 3-4pm with the funeral starting at 4pm. Receiving friends, service and burial will take place at First Love Independent Baptist Church (2636 S Lafayette St, Shelby, NC 28152) with the Rev. Buster Griffin officiating.
