Lois Imogene Humphries Alexander, age 81 of Shelby, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 22, 2022.

She is survived by her children, Bobby Mathis of Shelby, NC, Sue Moore of Shelby, NC, and Ernest Mitchell Gettys of Shelby, NC, three grandchildren, Crystal Greene, Kyle Moore (Ashley), and Barry Bryant (Jesika), four great grandchildren, Blake Greene, Luke Moore, Carter Bryant, and Briggsten Bryant, four brothers, Billy Humphries (Brenda) of Shelby, NC, Allen Humphries (Sylvia) of Cliffside, NC, Jerry Humphries (Shirley) of Shelby, NC, and Kenneth Humphries (Revonda) of Boiling Springs, NC, two sisters, Cenie Moore (Joe) of Boiling Springs, NC, and Sybil Sarratt of Shelby, NC, three sister-in-laws, Florence Humphries, Kim Humphries, and Revonda S. Humphries, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born October 31, 1940 in Cleveland County, NC, Lois was the daughter of the late Thomas Clayton Humphries and Maudie Ella Bradley Humphries and was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Bryant, three brothers, Ronald Humphries, Bud Humphries, and David Humphries, a sister, Ann Snyder, and a special friend of 58 years, Colleen Hames.

Lois was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed gardening, decorating for the holidays, camping, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 6:00pm - 8:00pm Sunday, September 25, 2022 at Cleveland Funeral Services. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am Monday, September 26, 2022 at Cleveland Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Randy Bumgardner.
