Lois "Laverne" (Roberson) Mauney passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 in Vista Hospice in Carrolton, Texas. She had just gone to live with her son and his wife. Laverne was born on August 7, 1934, to Paul and Elsie Roberson in Ida, LA. Laverne grew-up in the Texarkana, AR area until she met her future husband C.W. Mauney who was in the Air Force. After almost 21 years of service they moved to Shelby, NC where they continued to raise their family (Paula and David). Laverne was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, and Christian who always looked out for others. Laverne is preceded in death by her husband C.W. and her daughter Paula. She is survived by her son David, his wife Hey Suk and her grandson Christopher Mauney.

Service will be held 2:00pm Thursday December 9, 2021, at Beaver Dam Baptist Church with Dr. Tim Sims.

Viewing and family condolences at 1:00pm.

Burial will be at Beaver Dam Baptist Church.
