Lora Willette Brittain Lawrence age 44 died Monday 12, 2015 at her home. Born in Cleveland County on September 23, 1971 she was the daughter of George and Mary Ruth Powell Brittain. Lora was a 1989 graduate of Shelby High School and a 1993 graduate of UNC-Wilmington. She was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. Lora was a member of Lafayette Street United Methodist Church and she was a sales representative for Shire Pharmaceutical. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, L. H. and Sally Brittain and Kell "Slats" and Frances Powell; and a brother, Bert Brittain.

Lora is survived by her parents, George and Mary Ruth Powell Brittain of Shelby; a daughter, Madelyne Lawrence of Salisbury; a brother, Bradley Brittain and wife Sandra of Lawndale; niece and nephew, Jason Brittain and Jennifer Brittain and great niece, Brylan Brittain.

Memorial service will be held on Friday October 16, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Lafayette Street United Methodist Church with Rev Arthur Holland officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm in the fellowship hall.
