Lorene Carter, age 98, of Forest City, passed away at her residence on Thursday, December 26, 2024.

Lorene was born on Tuesday, May 25, 1926 in Franklin County, Alabama, to the late James Franklin Dolan and Telitha Elizabeth Harris Dolan. She was a Godly Woman who loved Jesus and attended the First Wesleyan Church of Forest City. Lorene loved everyone with an unconditional love and each of her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She was a dedicated homemaker who enjoyed gardening and cooking for those she loved.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of seventy years, Leo Carter; great-grandson, Tyler Eddy; seven brothers, and one sister.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Hawkins (John), of Forest City; son, Donnie Carter, of Apopka, Florida; grandchildren, David Lee Eddy, Michael Carter, Brandi Eddy, Morgan Klein, Farrin Eddy, Haley Eddy, and Kayla Eddy; great-great-grandchildren, Emerie Reign Klein and James Landon Walker.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 31st, in the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Eric Yelton officiating. The family will receive friends for an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Gotha, Florida.
