Mrs. Lorene Glenn, 80, of Shelby, passed away Friday, March 1, 2013 at Kings Mountain Hospital. A native of Cleveland County, she is the daughter of the late Pinkney Wright and Eva Kansas Wright. She had worked most of her life as a beautician and loved to do hair. Lorene enjoyed sewing, painting, crocheting and reading. She also loved playing the piano, organ and keyboard. She was of the Methodist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Boyce Glenn; one brother, Wayne Wright; two sisters, Pearl Glenn and Ruth Weaver.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Beaver and husband Tony of Lawndale; two grandchildren, Dylan Beaver and Emily Beaver; two brothers, Arvel Wright of Shelby and James Wright of Lawndale; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Kings Mountain Care for the wonderful care they provided to Mrs. Lorene.
Visitation: the family will receive friends, Monday, March 4, 2013 from 6:00 till 7:00 PM at Cleveland Funeral Services & Crematory
