Loretta "Lori" Kay Hamrick Forner

SHELBY - Loretta "Lori" Kay Hamrick Forner, 59, born in Columbia, SC, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Atrium Healthcare - Cleveland surrounded by her loving family. She is predeceased by her father, James Robert "Bob" Hamrick, Sr.; sister, Anita Hamrick Werner; paternal grandparents, Curtis "C.H." and wife, Annie Mae Gold Hamrick; maternal grandparents, Truman and Ezma Nelson; special uncle and aunt, John Bill and Mary Gold Hamrick Rudasill.019 -

Lori leaves behind her husband, Roger Anthony Forner; her mother Martha Nelson Hamrick "Marty" Hagins; two brothers, Kenneth "Ken" and wife, Kim Hamrick; James "Jimmy" and wife, Karen, Hamrick; brother-in-law, John Werner; special numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was a member of and attended Christ King Church together with her husband. Her favorite Bible verse was John 3:16. In 1977, she graduated from Burns High School and in 2002 from the GOAL Program at Gardner Webb University with a Bachelors Degree in Human Services. For most of her life, Lori worked in Healthcare. She enjoyed working on computers, developing and typing cookbooks, reading and learning history.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:15 pm on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Christ the King Church located at 1311 South Lafayette Street, Shelby, NC. Family will receive friends at the Church preceding the service beginning at 2:15 pm. At other times, the family will receive friends and family at the home of Marty Hagins and John and Vickie Rudasill.
