Lou Della Clark Hill, 95, of Fallston Road, Shelby, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at Fair Haven, Bostic .

Born in Cleveland County on June 27, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Thad Pickett Hill and Malinda Hawkins Clark Sellers. She was retired from Cleveland Mills and member of Union Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Ervin Ellis Hill; four brothers, Ernest Clark, Oliver Clark, Furman Sellers and Aubrey Clark; and six sisters, Della Hayes, Gertha McSwain, Louis Wagner, Ruby Cooper, Pearl Crossley and Irene Willis.

She is survived by her son William Hill and wife Cathy of Georgetown, SC; two daughters, Wanda Ward of Mooresboro and Denise Hill of Mooresboro; three grandchildren; William Hill Jr. and wife Terra, Wayne Hill and wife Pre-Ah and Miriam Laughinghouse and husband Michael; great grandchildren, Brett Wade, Jr., Ethan Hill, Spencer Hill, Matthew Laughinghouse, Elizabeth Joy Laughinghouse, Josiah Laughinghouse, Kaleah Hill and Keona Hill and three honorary grandchildren, Cliff Piercy, Jamie Piercy and Melissa Scism.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 10:00AM until 11:00 AM at Trinity Baptist Church.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00AM at Trinity Baptist Church with the Revs. Mike Frazer and Michael Shumate officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
