Lucille Amick Powell, 89, of Oak Grove Clover Hill Church Road, Lawndale,
passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017 at her home.

Born on January 10, 1928, in Charleston, SC, she was a daughter of the late
Frank Amick and Nannie Jackson Amick. She was retired from Fiber Industries
and was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Harris
Gene Powell; daughter-in-law, Libby Powell; two brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Deborah
Powell, David and Kay Powell, and Tim Powell all of Lawndale; seven
grandchildren, Gary Powell, Chris Powell, Angela Auton, Johnathan Powell,
April Powell, Crystal Bridges, and Stephanie Gillaspie; and seven great
grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Oak
Grove United Methodist Church.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 3:00 PM in the Oak Grove
United Methodist Church with the Rev. Cindy Nanny officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
