Lucille Wiles Gilbert, age 91 of Spindale, NC passed away on December 4, 2016 at Hospice House. Lucille was the daughter of the late Ed Wiles, and Grace Leonard Wiles. She was a member of Spindale Church of the Brethren and retired from Rutherford Hospital.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 70 years, Charles Gilbert; son Randy (Marie) Gilbert of Sunshine; son Rick (Yeping) Gilbert of Gilkey; granddaughter Tracy (Russell) Racine of Tega Cay, SC; Amy (Jonathan) Owens of Rutherfordton; great grandchildren Lucy Racine of Tega Cay SC, Sara Owens of Rutherfordton NC, Matthew Owens of Rutherfordton NC; a twin sister Louise Wiles of Marion, VA; a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Lucille was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Services will be held at 3PM Tuesday December 6, 2016 at The Church of the Brethren in Spindale. The Rev. Russell Payne will officiate. No formal visitation will be held. Burial will be private.
