Lucky Boyd Earls

Blacksburg -- Rev. Lucky Boyd Earls, 64, of 100 Plonk Street, passed away on Sunday, December 20th, 2020, at home.

Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Brenda Lanier Earls and son of the late Boyd Hampton Earls and Doris Rhee Owens Earls. Rev. Earls was the pastor of Tabernacle of Love Church in Blacksburg, SC. He served as Chairman of Cherokee County Time Release Bible class; as well as Chairman for Cherokee Falls Community Outreach. He also ran a prison ministry, Heaven At Hand, for many years.

In addition to his wife of forty years, Brenda, Rev. Earls was survived by one daughter, Katie Earls Vinson (Zach); two grandsons, Tucker and Sawyer Vinson; one sister, Nena Lynn Earls Bullocks (Johnny Red); one brother, William Franklin "Bush-tail" Earls (Pam); and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Boyd and Doris Earls, a brother, Conrad Earls, and a sister, Rheatta Earls.

A loving husband, a devoted father, and a proud paw paw; the friendly Rev. Earls never met a stranger. He was a generous and humble man, and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 22nd, 2020, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 23rd, 2020, at 1:00 pm at Cherokee Falls Missionary Fellowship Church with Rev. Willie Lanier, Rev. Tommy Hutchins, Rev. Kenny Wood, and Rev. Gregg Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Foy Ramsey, Bo Reynolds, Yancey Patterson, Allen Vinson, Tim Berry, Spencer Graham, Eddie Hardin, and Kevin Devine will serve as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to Tabernacle of Love, 737 Cherokee Falls Rd, Blacksburg, SC 29702.

The family will be at the residence.
