Luke Hoyle Willis, 89, of 2409 Twinbrooke Rd., Hickory, passed away Tuesday
October 10, 2017 at White Oak Manor in Shelby.

Born February 21, 1928 in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late Abraham
Willis and Nettie Sue Hoyle Willis. He was retired from Hartman
Construction.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine
Willis; four brothers, Thomas Willis, Abraham Willis, Jr., Paul Willis and
Glenn Willis, three sisters, Faye Bradshaw, Annie Lee Ritchie and Grace
Hildebran.

Survivors include one son, Mark Willis and wife Brenda of Hickory; two
daughters, Anita Newton and husband Vernon of Casar and Rachel Phillips and
husband Dale of Granite Falls; brother, Bill Willis of Vale; sister, Ruth
Rhoney of Vale; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Stamey-Tysinger
Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be Thursday at 4:00PM at St. Paul Baptist Church.
The body will be paced in the church thirty minutes prior to the service.

Burial will follow in St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery.
