Mack Arthur Gantt, 70, of 1138 Lot 6 Warlick Rd. in Lawndale, passed away
Saturday March 5, 2016 at home.

Born August 26, 1945 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Thomas
Gantt and Bell Blanton Gantt. He was formerly employed at the Cleveland
County Country Club as a groundskeeper.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Norma
Gantt and Becky Shaffer, two brothers, Wesley Gantt and Boyce Lee Gantt and
one sister, Lala Messer.

Survivors include his wife of three years, Alice Adkins Gantt, two sons,
Mack Gantt of York, SC and Russell Dotson of Lawndale, two brothers, Joe
Gantt of Ellenboro and Walter Gantt of Hickory, three sisters, Margaret
Swink of Goldsboro, Janie Griffin of Illinois and Brenda Gantt of
Lincolnton, five grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren.

No services are planned at this time.
