Madeline Eva Grigg Parker, 96 of Shelby, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.

Born in Cleveland County, NC on May 15, 1926, she was the daughter of the late George Ivy Grigg and Johnnie Effie Shuford Grigg. She was retired from Shelby Junior High and was a member of Kadesh United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Robert Parker; son, Robert Brian Parker; brothers, Ivy Grigg (Jessie), Max Grigg (Estelle), Craig Grigg (Mary), Barney Grigg (Margaret), Ruffin Grigg (Mary Lou), Jesse Grigg (Inez) and Javan Grigg and sisters, Mamie Grigg Alwran (Dewey), Maudie Grigg Shuford (Robert), Bertha Grigg Crowder (Durant) and Kathleen Grigg Wright (Woodrow).

Survivors include her son, Dennis Parker (Diana); daughter, Arista Bagwell (Freddie); granddaughter, Wendi Johnson (Brandon); great-grandsons, Alex and Aiden Johnson; nephews, Paul Grigg (Mary), Gary Grigg and Steve Wright (Mary); nieces, Joy Denton (Bill) and Katherine Wright.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022 at 11:00 am at Kadesh United Methodist Church with the Rev. Beth Osbahr officiating.
