Mrs. Mae Katherine Wilson Greene, age 100, died Monday April 15, 2013 at Wendover Hospice House. Born in Cleveland County on September 21, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Thomas James and Maude Tucker Wilson. She was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church. She retired from Hudson's Department Store, when it closed, after 25 years of service at the age of 81. She had a green thumb and loved working with flowers. She loved her family and church family and family get-togethers.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Greene; two great grandchildren, Jay and Trey Greene; one brother, Howard Wilson; and two sisters, Aileen Runyan and Jossie Greene.

Mrs. Greene is survived by a son, Eddie Greene and wife Pat of Shelby, a daughter, Suzie Hardin of Cary; four grandchildren, Laura Turner and husband Chris of Edenton, Kevin Greene and wife Dee of Cherryville, Keri Cleveland and husband Rich of Cary, and Jennifer Herndon and husband Clint of Holly Springs; eleven great grandchildren, Amy Turner, Amanda Turner, Kaylee Greene, Garrison Greene, Marshall Greene, Kailey Minnich, Dylan Minnich, Zac Cleveland, Shean Cleveland, Luke Herndon, and Levi Cleveland.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday April 17, 2013 at 3:00pm at Elizabeth Baptist Church with Dr. Rit Varriale officiating. The family will receive friends in the sanctuary from 2:00pm until 3:00pm an hour before the service, and other times at the home of Eddie and Pat Greene. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
