Mae Sipes Carpenter, 68, of Kings Mountain, NC, went to be with the Lord on November 12, 2020 at Atrium Main in Charlotte, NC. She was born June 9, 1952 in Cleveland County, NC. She was daughter of the late Jacob Sylvanis Sipes and Ola Mae Dalton Sipes. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Julie Ann, Carpenter; sister, Helen Roark; brothers Tex Houston Sipes and Gene Sipes. She was formerly a textile worker, working for Ruppe Hosiery more than 30 years and then later she worked for Hanes Brands. She was a supporter of St. Judes Children's hospital and she enjoyed quilting in her spare time. She was a loving wife, mother, and Nana who will be greatly missed.

Sisters: Doris Peterson, Kings Mountain, NC Judy Warlick, Besemer City, NC;

1 grandchild: Matthew G. Carpenter

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Tuesday, November 17, 2020, 2:00 PM, Mountain Rest Cemetery, with Rev. Robbie Moore officiating.

VISITATION: The family will greet friends following the service in the cemetery
