Mrs. Magdalene Dawkins Littlejohn age was born on January 19, 1932 in Cleveland County, NC, to the late Andrew and Evie Williamson Dawkins. She transitioned from her earthly life on January 15, 2020 at White Oak Manor of Shelby NC, to be with her Lord and Savior.

Mrs. "Lene" was a faithful member of Hopewell Baptist Church where she served on different boards and received special awards. She was a homemaker who loved sewing and planting flowers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Littlejohn, Jr.; six siblings and three nieces she helped rear as her own children.

She is survived by her brother, John Dawkins, Sr. of Kings Mountain, NC; a brother-in-law, James Littlejohn (Marilyn) of Lawndale, NC; two nieces she reared as daughters, Betty Whisnant of Shelby, NC and Dorothy Stewart (Gene) of Hickory, NC; great niece, Linda Whisnant who she called her baby along with a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Hopewell Baptist Church in Shelby. Burial will take place at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM on Thursday and additionally on Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at S.T.
