Maggree Louvia Hunt

Maggree Louvia Hunt, 96, of Shelby, NC, left this earthly life on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Atrium Health Hospital.

She was born on August 17, 1927 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Pink Lee Hunt, Sr. and the late Enda Lattimore Hunt.

She was a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church for many years. Later in life, she joined New Start Fellowship Church and was there every Sunday until her health declined. Maggree worked at Gardner-Webb College, Fiber Industries, and retired from Fasco. She was a great cake baker, baking cakes for everyone all over the work. Maggree was a lot of fun to sit and talk with, having lots of history to tell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her five brothers; Robert Lee Hunt, John Rogers Hunt, James Leonard Hunt, Pink Lee Hunt, Jr., and William J. Hunt; six sisters, Eddie Mae Hunt, Elizabeth Cain, Mary Stafford, Pauline Towns, Shirley Simmons, and Chinetta Hunt Glover.

Those left to cherish the memories are a special sister in law, Pearline P. Hunt and a host of special relatives and friends. Take your crown, Auntie.

Funeral services held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Ellis Chapel Baptist Church in Patterson Springs at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday and all other times at 108 Devin Drive in Shelby, NC.
