Shelby - Mrs. Margaret Beam Smith, 84, passed away on Friday, January 12,
2018 at Carolina Care Health and Rehabilitation in Cherryville.

Mrs. Smith was born on July 21, 1933 in Gaston County, North Carolina a
daughter of the late William Blaine Beam and Georgia Beam Beam. She worked
for Dellinger's Jewelry Store and Carpenter's Gifts in Cherryville. Mrs.
Smith was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cherryville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray
Austin Smith; a sister, Sue Beam Ledford and three brothers, Quinn Baxter
Beam, John David Beam and Richard Beam.

Survivors include two daughters, Teresa S. Webb and husband Danny and Sandra
Howard and husband Robert both of Cherryville; four grandchildren, Kristi
Howard Newman (Al), Robert Howard, Jr. (Susan), Darin Webb (Emily) and Laura
Webb Price (Nick); two great grandchildren, Hadley Grace Webb and Jackson
Drew Price; four sisters, Katherine Goins, Marlene Brown (Sherman), Martha
Cornwell (Richard), Judy Bingham (Jack) and one sister-in-law, Jean Beam all
of Cherryville; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 1:30 to 2:45PM at First
United Methodist Church in Cherryville and at other times the family will be
at the home of a daughter, Teresa Webb, 194 Carolina Drive, Cherryville.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00PM on Monday, January 15, 2018 at First
United Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Collins, D. Min. officiating.

Burial will be in City Memorial Cemetery, Cherryville.

Cherryville, NC 28021.
