Margaret Holtzclaw Beam, 91, of U.S. Highway 221 South, Forest City, died on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Carolinas Healthcare System - Cleveland. A native of Rutherford County, she was born on May 19, 1924, a daughter of the late A.H. and Lola Toms Holtzclaw. She was retired from Rutherford County Schools and was a member of Floyd's Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wade C. Beam; two brothers, Henry Holtzclaw and Albert Holtzclaw. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Greene of Rutherfordton; one brother, Frank Holtzclaw of Cliffside; three sisters, Betty Phillips and husband Tommy, Hazel Bagwell, and Genell Henson, all of Forest City; her grandchildren, Sherri Finleyson of Spartanburg, Rhonda Greene, and Cathy Greene, both of Forest City; her great grandchildren, Carson Pritchard, Michael, Logan, and Lindsey Finleyson.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Floyd's Creek Baptist Church with The Rev. Robert Carnell and Rev. Shane Kirby officiating. Burial will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
