Margaret Isabelle Allen Stroud

Margaret Isabelle Allen Stroud, of White Oak Manor of Shelby, went to her heavenly home Friday March 10, 2017, she was 109 years old. Born in York County, South Carolina September 13,1907 she was the daughter of the late James Hamilton Allen and Annie Hope Allen and the widow of William Green Stroud. She was a homemaker, long time resident of Chester, South Carolina, and former member of Parkway Baptist Church. She is currently a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church, Boiling Springs, NC.

She is survived by two grandchildren; Allen Stroud of Inman, SC and Lori Garner and husband Lee of Anderson, SC; six great grandchildren: Jennifer Stroud Brooks, Allison Stroud Faulkenberry, Kelsey Stroud, Kristen Stroud Huddleston, Alyssa Garner and Jessica Garner; one great-great grandchild Cooper William Brooks.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a son William Allen Stroud, Sr; two brothers, Ray Allen and Joe Allen and five sisters; Azilee McClinton, Pearl Tadlock, Juanita Simpson, Sadie Dawkins, and Lillian Blanks.

Funeral Service will be held Sunday March 12, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Boiling Springs Baptist Church. Boiling Springs, North Carolina with Rev. Keith McKinney and Dr. Carroll Page presiding. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, March 13, 2017 at Chester Memorial Gardens, Chester, SC.
