Mrs. Margaret McGill Wilson, 82, of 817 Jefferson Street Shelby, NC passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021 at Carolina Care Health and Rehabilitation in Cherryville, NC. She was born on October 8, 1938 in York County, SC to the late Annie Bell McGill Harbison and the late Walter Rainey McGill.

As a youth, Mrs. Wilson attended Camp High School. She was employed with Snow Flake Laundry for 13 years before moving to Bayonne, NJ where she resided for fifteen years. After moving back to Cleveland County, she married Robert Wilson. She was employed with Doran Textiles and retired after 25 years of service.

Mrs. Wilson was a lifelong member of Ellis Chapel Baptist Church where she was a member of the Senior Choir until her health declined. She was a loving, kind person who enjoyed traveling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, Robert Wilson; her sister, Pauline McGill Williams and brother.

She leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Jewlene McGill of Shelby; close friends, Ethel Shell, Cora Roseboro, Libby Watson, Mary Burns, Rose Corry, Barbara Hopper and Ola Mae Roseboro and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Mrs. Wilson will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 1:30 PM at Ellis Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will take place at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 1:30 PM at the church. At other times, they will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at the home; On Monday, July 19, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
