Margaret Spangler Wilson

Margaret Spangler Wilson was born May 9, 1933, daughter of A. P. "Leck" Spangler and Vera Warlick Spangler. She passed away August 25, 2023. She was raised on the family farm in Double Shoals, Cleveland County, North Carolina. Having worked on the farm, she swore she would never marry a farmer. She was known by many for her cooking and kept desserts in the freezer in case there was a death in the community or a family in need. She was a faithful member of Elizabeth Baptist Church and contributed in many ways to the life of the church community. A proud graduate of Piedmont High School, she worked many years organizing the annual Piedmont Reunion.
