Boiling Springs, SC -- Margaret Swann Johnson, 85, of Mason Manor, but formerly of 650 Hanging Rock Road, passed away Saturday, March 3rd, 2018, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Spartanburg, she was the widow of Sam Henry Johnson and the youngest of five children of the late Lewis S. Swann and Ola Deborah Searcy Swann. Margaret, when she needed to be, was the strength that held her family together, but she was much more. She loved pets, music, dancing, and being around people. She also loved to visit thrift stores, rarely met a stranger, and there was always a place at her table for friends.

Surviving Mrs. Johnson are her children, Tommy Johnson and wife, Pat, Debra "DJ" Johnson and wife, Kris Krystyniak. She is also survived by Tommy and Pat's children, Tiffany Brunson and husband, Randall, and Andrea Sato, and their grandchildren, Alex Brunson, Sachiko Sato and Emiko Sato.

In addition to her husband of 65 years and her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by two children, Ricky Johnson and Sharon Johnson Gowan.

A graveside service for Mrs. Johnson will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at 1:00 pm at Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service.
