Margie Rena Parker Black, 95, passed away Wednesday February 1, 2017.

She was born April 26, 1921 in Casar, she was a daughter of the late Buford
Avery Parker and Vicey Elizabeth Suttle Parker. She was retired from Valdese
Manufacturing and was a member of Rutherford College Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers,
James, Alvin, Glenn and Ralph Parker.

Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth Black Sturgeon of North Myrtle
Beach; one granddaughter, Tammy Elizabeth Sturgeon Palmer of Albemarle, two
brothers, Arthur Parker of Casar and Wade Parker of Orange Springs, FL;
three sisters, Marie Parker Brackett of Lawndale, Annie Virl Parker
Stephenson of Bryson City and Shirley Parker Pearson of Morganton.

The visitation will be Saturday 10:00AM until 11:00AM at Pisgah Baptist
Church.

The funeral service will be Saturday at 11:00AM at Pisgah Baptist Church
with Dr. Keith Stephenson officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
