Mrs. Marilue Roberts Elam, 80, resident of Carolina Care Center and long-time resident of Belwood, NC, passed away, Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Services were held at New Bethel Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Elam was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James D. Elam; her parents, James F. Roberts and Rachael Allison Roberts; 1 sister, Martha Roberts Mowery Proctor; and 1 son-in-law, Cal Bayliff.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Rachael Elam Bayliff of Vienna, VA, and Allison Elam and partner Valerie Kalter of Mountaintop, PA; 3 sons, Doug Elam and wife Anne of Kings Mountain, Bill Elam and wife Jill of Greensboro, NC, and Mark Elam and wife Natalie of the family farm in Belwood, NC; and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: New Bethel Baptist Church, The Cemetery Fund, Lawndale, NC 28090.
