Our Mother, Marjoire Stevenson, our guiding light and source of endless strength and love, departed her life on May 27, 2025, at Atrium Health Cleveland, Shelby, NC. She was 76 years old.
She was born on March 12, 1949, and raised in Shelby, NC to the late Robert Lee Davis Sr. and late Ollie Mae Finney Davis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Stevenson; brothers and sisters, Robert Lee Davis, Edna Mae Davis, and Tommy Lee Davis.
She was the parent of three adult children, Tracy Stevenson Manning (Julius), Nicole Stevenson (Johnathan), and Stephanie Reynolds (Andra); grandchildren, Jevise Stevenson (Brittney), Timothy Stevenson (Jayla), Juanita Manning (Brihanna), Lasharee Stevenson, Julquis Manning, Joshua Stevenson, Joselynn Yirenkyi; and 12 great grandchildren. She has several special nieces and nephews, Trina Hammonds, Precious Davis, Vonkesha Davis, Leslie Phillips, Jennifer Ross, Derrick Phillips, Randy Phillips, Kerry Hammonds, Freddy Davis and many more nephews and nieces. She has several brothers and sisters, Matthew Davis (Mary), Linda Hammonds, Shelly Davis, RC Davis, Vanessa Davis, Debra Davis, and Willie Frank Davis; and special cousin Bobby Jennings along with several more special and close cousins that she loved dearly.
She was a 1969 graduate of Crest High School. She retired after working at TNS Mills in Blacksburg, SC, along with Dover Mills and Artee Mills in Shelby, NC, for several years as a textile worker.
Funeral services were on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Waco at 2:00 PM. Burial will take place at the church cemetery.
