Marjorie Black "Margie" Angel

Marjorie Black "Margie" Angel, 82, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Peak Resources in Cherryville.

Margie was born on May 7, 1941 in Gaston County, NC a daughter of the late William Howard Black and Elena Belle Haynes Black. She retired from Sears with over 35 years of service working in Shelby and Gastonia. Margie was a member of Waco Baptist Church where she served in many capacities over the years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Glenn Angel; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Hayes Angel; a sister, Ann Pfeifer; two brothers, Howard and Allan Black; two brothers-in-law, Jack Scism and Butch Lail

Survivors include her two sons, Mitch Angel and wife Cindy; Thad Angel; four grandchildren, Candice Sneed (Chris), Austin Angel, Will Angel and Grace Harkey (Marek); one great grandchild, Whitley Sneed; two sisters, Betty Sue Scism and Debbie Rainwater (Doug) and a brother, Doug Black (Rita); three sisters-in-law, Becky Black, Inez Black and Linda Lail; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff at Peak Resources in Cherryville and to Hospice for the love and care they provided.

The family will receive friends from 12:30PM to 1:45PM on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Waco Baptist Church and at other times the family will be at Margie's home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Waco Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Allen officiating.

Burial will follow the service at Capernaum Cemetery.
