Marjorie Joy Frazee

Marjorie Joy Frazee, devoted wife and loving mother of seven, grandmother of 20, and great grandmother of 13 passed from this world to the arms of her Savior Jesus on Thursday December 8.

Joy blessed the lives of her family, her many friends, her church, and all she knew with her love, wisdom, humor, and persistent focus on others. A young girl from Rhode Island met her husband, Carl, at Emmaus Bible School in Chicago, raised seven children, became a working woman as a manager, an award winning saleswoman, and a world traveling tour guide for Christian Tours. Joy had a deep relationship with her Heavenly Father and her Lord Jesus Christ. She daily read her Bible till it was worn out and she needed a new one. Always abiding in Him, the joy of the Lord was her strength. By example and encouragement, she led each of her children to faith in Christ (her children would rise up and call her blessed). As a faithful steward of God's grace, she spent the majority of her adult life teaching Sunday school classes, leading backyard Bible clubs, counseling others, hosting fellowships, coordinating Seniors with a Testimony (SWAT), and loving all. Her Shepherd guided her through the valley of the shadow of death, and Joy left her temporal body to be present with her Lord. Surely goodness and mercy followed Joy all the days of her life and she will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

She was the daughter of the late Abraham and Annie Beattie Campbell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Darrel Frazee; and sister-in-law, Barbara Campbell.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Carl Frazee of the home; son, David Frazee and wife Ellen of Acton, MA; daughters, Karen Horne and husband Kevin of Macon, NC, Carol Ward and wife Diana of Charlotte, Robin Leigh and husband Fred of High Point, Romelle Blanton and husband Richard of Shelby and Colette Duncan of Inman, SC; brother, Robert Campbell of Groton, CT; 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren that she prayed for everyday; and her daughter-in-law, Donna Frazee of Waynesville.

Funeral services will be held 3:30PM, Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Pleasant City Church with the Rev. Bryan Glisson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:30PM, prior to the service, in the church. Burial will follow at 10:00AM, Monday, in Cleveland Memorial Park. In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant City Church.
