Martha Clary Harris
 

SHELBY- Mrs. Martha Clary Harris, 78, of Spangler Dr., died Tues., Aug. 7th, 2012 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland Co., she was the daughter of the late EB and Maude Blanton Clary.  She was employed at First Atlantic Corporation, where she was very proud of her work. She enjoyed volunteering at the Senior Center, and was a spirited lady who loved flowers while reading the Charlotte Observer.  She especially loved hummingbirds and dogs.   Martha had the most vivacious personality and beautiful smile, and was loved and adored by all.

 

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, J.R. and Charles Clary; sister, Louise Ledford

 

SURVIVED: She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Albert “Al” Harris of the home; Son, Terry Tate of Shelby; daughter, Carla Winchester and husband Doug of Matthews; four grandchildren, Stephen Tate and wife Whitney of Charlotte, Dana Hamrick of Shelby, and Gina and Kristen Winchester of Matthews.

 

SERVICES: Friday, 2pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

 

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Friday, 12:30-2pm, at the funeral home, and other times at her home.

 

CLERGY: Rev. Len Byers, Robert Parsons, and Harold Justice

 

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Sunset Cemetery
