Martha Conner Costner, 78, of Kings Mountain, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at her home with her family by her side.

She was born on August 12, 1947, in Cleveland County and was a daughter of the late Dores Wilbur Conner and Mary Rozell Ledford Conner. She was retired from Food Services with Cleveland County Schools and was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers Jerry H. Conner and George Wilbur Conner and two sisters, Brenda Lovelace and Sarah Williams.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years, Kenneth Edward Costner; son, Ken Costner, Jr and wife Teresa of Kings Mountain; daughter Debbie Williams and husband James of Kings Mountain; brother, Jack Conner of Kings Mountain; four grandchildren, Dustin Costner (Jennifer), Kristen Ann Costner (Chris), Samantha Rozell Thomas (Amber), and Justin Williams and two great grandchildren Colton Weaver and Trinity Costner.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joel Sanders and Rev. Scott Hardin officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
