Martha Jane Owens, 78, of Shelby, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Testa Hospice House, Kings Mountain.

Born in Cleveland County on January 29, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Dexter Clifford Owens and Essie Mae Johnson Owens. She was retired from T&S Mills in South Carolina.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Clifford Owens, Bill Owens, Jessie Owens, Edward Owens and Boyd Owens and two sisters, Christine Cline and Lona Mae Craig.

Survivors include one sister, Betty Owens Shelton of King, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held at Wallace Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the Mr. W.D. Owens officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
